Warner Bros sues 'Harry Potter' condoms

Warner Bros, creators of the Harry Potter movies, are reportedly suing a Swiss company over their 'Harry Potter' branded condoms

Warner Bros. is taking action against the company behind the product, claiming that they are breaking copyright.

The packaging for the brand, 'Harry Popper', shows a purple, glasses-wearing condom, with his tongue out and his wand twirling. A similar image of Harry Potter!

"The image of my client is in danger," a Warner Bros. lawyer has said. The condoms have apparently been on sale since 2006, in Switzerland.

Magic X's lawyer has argued: “Our product has nothing to do with Harry Potter.” The product was launched in 2006 and the name was registered with the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.

The newest Harry Potter film, part one of 'The Deathly Hallows', is due for release this November. Whereas over 400 million Harry Potter books have been sold. The lawsuit is still ongoing and hopefully the legal actions can be taken where justice and fairness are ensured. :)
